    Please note that Travelling Allowance for appearing in Document Verification/Group Discussion is admissible to SC/ST/PWD candidates only, as per the instructions given below. Further, Travelling Allowance for appearing in an interview shall be admissible to all candidates.

    The above candidates shall be called for Document Verification (DV) and on successful completion of DV, the candidates shall be appearing for Group Discussion.

    The scheduled date and reporting time for Document Verification and Group Discussion shall be intimated shortly.

    (i) Caste Certificates

    Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ESM/EWS category are required to bring relevant certificates in a valid format. Candidates belonging to OBC are required to bring an updated Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the proper format, failing which they shall be considered as General Category candidates.

    (ii) NOC from the employer

    Candidates working in Government/Semi- Government/PSU/Autonomous Body should bring ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer.

    (iii) Other documents

    Conversion Certificate: For the purpose of verification of education qualification wherever CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA or letter Grade in Degree is awarded, the candidate has to provide a valid conversion certificate from the University or Institution at the time of document verification. In case the conversion formula is available on the website of the university/institute, a self-attested copy of a printout from the website shall be required to be submitted.

    Experience Certificate, if any: In respect of the experience certificate, the experience certificate from the Head(s) of the organization(s)/Department(s) for the entire experience claimed clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date, month and year) indicating the Basic Pay & Consolidated Pay. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties performed/experience obtained in the post(s) with duration(s).

    Translation: If any document/ certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted officer or notary is to be submitted at the time of DV.

    Name Mismatch: In case a candidate is having his/her name mentioned differently in documents, he/she must provide a Notarized affidavit in original / their original marriage certificate (in case of female candidates who have changed first/last/middle name post marriage) to this effect.

    Validity of Certificates: All certificates must be valid on the date of DV.

    Traveling Allowance (TA Form)

    The above candidates will be reimbursed 2nd class railway fare by the shortest route from the railway station nearest to their place of residence to Kolkata and back, provided the same is at a distance of 50 miles/80 k.m. and above. For road journeys between stations not connected by rail, they shall be paid actual bus fare or road mileage @ Rs. 8.00/k.m., whichever is less provided the distance covered by road is more than 20 miles/ 32 k.m. each way.

    For this purpose, candidates are required to download the claim form from the website notice and submit duly filled form at the time of appearing for interview, enclosing travelling tickets/ boarding pass, copy of cancelled cheque or first page of bank passbook (if not uploaded during application). In case of non- submission of any one or all the above-mentioned documents for TA, the application shall be rendered incomplete and no TA shall be admissible. The admissibility of travel allowance shall be decided by MSTC and the admissible amount shall be remitted to the bank account subsequently.

    Disqualification of a candidate

    In case any candidate fails to produce any Original Certificate/ Testimonial/ Mark Sheet in support of his/her Qualification, Age, Disability and Caste declared by him/her, or fails to furnish ‘No Objection Certificate’ from his/her employer, wherever applicable, the candidature of the incumbent will be cancelled and he/she will not be allowed to participate in the selection process any further. In such an event, no TA shall be admissible to the candidate for making the journey.

    DISCLAIMER: The above schedule is subject to change. Candidates are advised to check the website before the date of GD. It is also clarified (Refer to Advertisement No. 01/2023) to the candidates that their candidature is Provisional and is subject to subsequent verification of certificates/testimonials & medical fitness. In case it is detected at any stage of selection or thereafter, that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement if any, his / her engagement is liable to be terminated.
