Sub: Charging of MP Forest Transit Fee @ Rs. 7.00 per tonne with VAT, CST and ST w.e.f. 14.05. 2007
MP Forest Transit Fee @ Rs. 7.00 per tonne with VAT, CST and ST shall be charged for the coal supplies made from Projects located in Madhya Pradesh w.e.f. 14th May 2007 , which is the date on which Hon’ble High Court of Jabalapur had declared the said Notification of MP Forest Transit Fee as Ultra-vires which had been subsequently stayed by Hon’ble Superme Court vide Order dated 7th March 2008 on SLP filed by State of Madhya Pradesh.
All the FSA / Linked / e-Auction, consumers / customers are requested to deposit the said MP Forest Transit Fee w.e.f. 14th May 2007 against the coal supplied to them from the Projects located in Madhya Pradesh. Details of amount to be deposited can be obtained from the Sales & Mktg. Deptt. of NCL.
